Mavam Supported Housing is presently recruiting Support Workers/Relief Support Workers to work at our housing projects in Ipswich & Stowmarket.  We provide supported housing to individuals suffering from severe and enduring mental distress; individuals with mild learning disabilities and young people leaving care.

The focus of support is to enable users of the service to live as independently as possible, whilst helping them to achieve goals which they set for themselves, be these to: move onto accommodation of their own; enrol on educational courses; form new relationships or seek employment.

The job involves shift work including evenings, weekends and sleep in shifts a rota basis.

Our salary scale is £15,405 to £17,355 depending upon qualifications and experience and we pay an additional £62.65 for each sleep-in shift. The organisation also offers a staff pension scheme.

The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
